Claddagh Credit Union pledge €10,000 to Croí na Gaillimhe

Claddagh Credit Union, as part of its commitment to community development, has announced support of €10,000 to aid the efforts of St Vincent de Paul and its resource centre Croí na Gaillimhe. Find out more here...

This initiative underscores Claddagh Credit Union’s dedication to supporting the welfare and well-being of its members and their community. The support will be divided equally between St. Vincent De Paul visitation section, renowned for its tireless work in alleviating poverty and supporting vulnerable individuals and families, and its resource centre, Croí na Gaillimhe, which is focused on promoting and providing essential support services including community education, English language supports, and a social club for older people amongst other services.

"We at Claddagh Credit Union are delighted to be able to help support St. Vincent de Paul and Croí Na Gaillimhe who have contributed so much to the Galway community," said Ted Coyle, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Claddagh Credit Union.

The support comes at a crucial time as both St. Vincent De Paul and Croí na Gaillimhe continue to face increased demand for their services amid ongoing societal challenges. The funds provided by Claddagh Credit Union will enable these organisations to expand their reach, deliver essential assistance, and create a lasting impact on individuals and families throughout Galway.

Loretta Needham, Manager of Croí na Gaillimhe said; "We have created an inclusive and compassionate centre that celebrates the contributions of older individuals and offers support to asylum seekers and migrants. By offering tailored support to each group, we are fostering a community where everyone feels valued, respected, and empowered to thrive."
