The Galway Film Fair is back 9-12 July with a packed schedule of industry events that take place during the Galway Film Fleadh, including the Marketplace (European co-production meetings), Networking meetings, the Fleadh Forum, Work-In-Progress/Market Screenings, Industry Seminars, Masterclasses and much more. Film professionals and those with an interest in filmmaking can apply for a Film Fair badge for early registration to events, priority entry to the festival club, listing in the industry directory, complimentary access to the VR programme and more. The application deadline for Industry Accreditation is Sunday, 5 July, 2026.
Masterclasses
Galway Film Fair's annual masterclasses offer a unique chance to learn from experts in their respective fields in an intimate, engaging environment. This year, there are five masterclasses to choose from:
- Directors Masterclass with Frank Berry - Friday, 10 July, 10am-1pm, in partnership with STORYHOUSE.
- Film & TV Lighting Masterclass with Barry Conroy and James McGuire - Friday, 10 July, 2.30pm-4.30pm, presented by Teach Solais/MBS Equipment Ireland.
- Actors Masterclass with Rory Kinnear - Saturday, 11 July, 10am-1pm, supported by Screen Ireland.
- Step into the Casting Room: A Self Tape Workshop with Thyrza Ging and Cassandra Han - Saturday, 11 July, 2.30pm-4pm, supported by Spotlight, Casting Society’s (CSA) Global Chapter and Filmmakers.eu.
- Production Design Masterclass with Charles Wood - Sunday, 12 July, 2pm-4pm, supported by National Talent Academies Crew West.
