The Kings Head sponsor The Cave at Galway International Arts Festival

Galway International Arts Festival has announced the continued support of long-time Festival Partner, The Kings Head, one of Galway’s most iconic and historic venues.

Steeped in over 800 years of history, The Kings Head stands at the heart of Galway’s Latin Quarter and has long been a vibrant gathering place for locals and visitors. Owned and operated by Paul and Mary Grealish, The Kings Head is once again reaffirming its commitment to the arts by supporting, the presentation of 'The Cave', a powerful new play by acclaimed writer Kevin Barry, directed by Caitríona McLaughlin and starring Aaron Monaghan, Judith Roddy and Tommy Tiernan.

Produced by the Abbey Theatre, 'The Cave' will run at the Town Hall Theatre from July 22–26; an unforgettable black comedy from one of Ireland’s most beloved and original literary voices.

"The Arts Festival is our absolute favourite time of year in Galway! This year The Kings Head is delighted to support The Abbey's production of Kevin Barry's new black comedy 'The Cave'. It has all the ingredients to be one of the highlights of the festival." said Paul Grealish.

In addition to their production support, The Kings Head also played host to the festival’s official programme launch, providing a warm welcome and an electric atmosphere that set the tone for an unforgettable summer of creativity.
