idir Talamh is Tonn – Between Land and Sea at Daróg Wine Bar

This body of work explores the shifting boundary between land and sea along Ireland’s west coast, where limestone, tide, and weather continually reshape one another. Light fades, forms dissolve, and place becomes felt rather than fixed. The Burren landscape runs quietly through the work, not as a solid ground but as a porous, changing presence, holding traces of the ocean that helped shape it. Light and weather act as interruptions, revealing and obscuring in equal measure.

idir Talamh is Tonn reflects on in-betweenness. Between land and water, memory and perception, where meaning remains fluid and nothing is fully held.

Based in Galway, Siobhán Moore works across oil, acrylic, ink, and encaustic wax. Her practice is rooted in a deep engagement with the natural environment, drawing inspiration from sea, land, and sky. Through abstraction and experimentation with materials, her paintings evoke atmosphere, memory, and emotion, with the horizon appearing as a recurring motif offering both structure and openness.

Siobhán has exhibited widely in recent years, with solo exhibitions including The Commute at the PorterShed, Galway (2025) and As Far as the Eye Can Sea at Galway City Library (2024). Her work has also featured in group exhibitions and festivals including the RBSA Summer Show, Boyle Arts Festival, Clifden Arts Festival Arts Trail, and K-Fest Arts Festival. Her paintings are held in private and corporate collections in Ireland and Europe. Siobhán left a career in healthcare in 2022 to focus fully on her art practice and is currently studying for a BA in Fine Art at ATU.

As part of the exhibition, Le Chéile: An Evening of Creative Conversation with Siobhán Moore will take place on Monday 8 June (7–9pm). Tickets (€20) include an artist talk, wine tasting, and 10% off artwork purchased on the night. Booking essential at the link here.
