Fifteen new luxury self-catering cabins to be built at Wildlands Galway

Wildlands, activity park in Moycullen, has been granted permission for the development of fifteen additional luxury self-catering cabins within its extensive grounds. These new cabins will bring the number of luxury cabins in the park up to 29 total. Read all about this exciting new development here...

Nestled on the edge of Ballyquirke Lough, Wildlands offers families, friends and groups the perfect mix of adventure, nature and fun and for many is the ideal staycation in the West, located less than fifteen kilometres from Galway city. Wildlands offers a variety of indoor and outdoor activities, including Ireland's only ninja course and one of the longest ziplines in the country, as well as being home to the award-winning Olive Tree Kitchen restaurant.

This new development will be a mix of two, three and four-bedroom self-catering cabins in keeping with the existing fourteen, which are all finished to the highest standards from Smeg appliances, Nespresso coffee machines and stoves to retro board games and cosy bunks.

Faye Bohan, Co-owner and Director of Wildlands said today “We are delighted to bring this next phase of luxury self-catering cabins on to Wildlands. Throughout the process our teams have worked tirelessly to achieve our sustainability goals, including sustainable building design practices and landscaping which will protect and support existing habitats, flora and fauna on site. We can’t wait to see these plans come to fruition. We will use the services of local tradesmen throughout the construction period. Wildlands currently employs a team of one hundred and fourty and this new development will see the creation of an additional ten new permanent roles once the build is completed.”
