Exhibition celebrates Life & Legacy of John ffrench at The Kenny Gallery

A special pop-up exhibition of almost 60 pieces by John ffrench (1928-2010) is now on display at The Kenny Gallery in Liosbán and online at thekennygallery.ie

The exhibition celebrates the life and legacy of John ffrench – a distinguished artist with a remarkable international reputation, and the man who single-handedly brought colour into Irish ceramics.

The show brings together the final works from his Irish studio, offering a rare glimpse into the creative genius of one of Ireland's most esteemed artists. Included are wall pieces, pots, vessels, bowls, eggs and an exciting series of framed collage pieces. All the pieces are for sale.

Born in Dublin in 1928, John ffrench began his artistic journey at the National College of Art and Design and the Istituto Statale D'Arte in Florence. Over the years, his career flourished, leading to exhibitions in Dublin, Florence, Calcutta, Reykjavik, New York, Frankfurt and beyond. As a visionary in Irish studio pottery, he founded Arklow Studio Pottery in 1962 and later established his own studio near Kinvara, County Galway.
