The exhibition features photography, by Karen Cox and David Metcalf, of children from Arus Kualan Indigenous schools in Borneo, and Wild Earth and Down to Earth forest schools in Ireland.

The Dayak people are guardians of Borneo, the oldest rainforest in the world, protecting 140 million years of biodiversity. In this polarising era, a heartwarming friendship between the Irish and Dayak people celebrates our shared humanity and the gifts of diversity and nature.

Melanie Lynch is an Irish curator, artist, and social innovator with a passion for Indigenous wisdom and environmental activism. She founded HerStory and now leads Our Story, an impact-driven communications consultancy in service to people and planet.

This talk takes place as part of the late night programme at Galway Arts Centre, ‘Gallery Lates’ supported by Galway City Council and the Department of Arts, Media, Communications, Culture and Sports as part of the Galway City Night-Time Economy Action Plan.
