Dylan Thomas’s Under Milk Wood is a timeless, poetic masterpiece often described as a “play for voices.” It paints a rich and intimate portrait of a day in the life of the villagers of Llareggub, a fictional Welsh town. From dreams before dawn to the quiet of night, we encounter a tapestry of unforgettable characters. the gossips, the dreamers, the lovers, and the lonely all revealed through Thomas’s extraordinary blend of humour, compassion, and musicality of language. At once a celebration of human folly and tenderness, Under Milk Wood captures the universal rhythms of small-town life in a way that is both local and universal.

Headford Actors Workshop is an energetic community theatre initiative based in Headford, Co. Galway, offering opportunities for adults of all ages to explore acting, performance, and stagecraft in a friendly and creative environment. Founded to bring together people with a shared love of theatre, the Workshop focuses on developing confidence, teamwork, and artistic expression through weekly rehearsals, training sessions, and live productions.

Their members come from diverse backgrounds from complete beginners discovering the stage for the first time, to experienced performers seeking to refine their craft. Through improvisation, script work, character development, and performance training, participants gain not only valuable theatre skills but also a strong sense of community and connection.
