​Get ready, Galway! Doing It For The Dogs is back at the Claddagh Hall on Sunday, June 14th, 2026. Join them from 11am – 5pm for their biggest celebration of rescue dogs yet.

​This much-loved MADRA event brings together families, dog lovers, and the local community for a day of walks, wagging tails, and plenty of surprises—all while raising vital funds for dogs in need.

Enjoy a fantastic day out for all ages, with entertainment, local treats, the MADRA Market, pooch portraits, and expert tips and tricks on training, grooming, and dog care.

Every euro raised helps MADRA rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome dogs in need. With more dogs than ever relying on them, your support truly matters.

What’s Happening at the Claddagh Hall
11:00 AM – Event Opening
The day begins with a live acoustic performance from the talented Galway Ukulele Tribe as MADRA officially open the event.
They will also announce the 2026 Dogathon Grand Marshal, who will lead the day’s celebrations.

Grand Marshal Competition
The participant who raises the highest sponsorship total will have their dog crowned MADRA’s 2026 Grand Marshal, leading future events and serving as a MADRA ambassador throughout the year. Sign up and fundraise here.

The MADRA Dogathon Begins
Participants can set off on their chosen Dogathon route along the beautiful Salthill Promenade at any time from 11:00 AM.
