Upon getting married, Davor and Anđela, a young couple from Croatia, start questioning what love is – is it a social construct or an innate need? Is it something stronger than cultural norms or something entirely shaped by society? What makes some people spend their whole lives together? What makes other people break up after just a couple of months?

In order to answer these questions, they decide to embark on a yearlong honeymoon around the world, asking ordinary men and women across 30 countries the same questions about love and relationships.

“Love around the World” searches for the definition of love through real-life experiences and emotions, whilst also showing the role that religion, culture, politics, and personal circumstance has on relationships. The screening will be followed by a Q&A with directors Davor and Anđela Rostuhar.
