A very Mayo coded gig for her debut Róisín appearance, Last Apollo is headlining a bill that promises a night filled with exceptional music with support from All Thumbs and Laura Ryder.

LAST APOLLO: Recognised as ‘One to Watch’ by publications such as The Irish Times, Hotpress and Nialler 9, artist and composer Last Apollo (a.k.a Lucy Rice) has gained momentum across streaming services but it is ultimately her astounding live shows that has lead to the cult following Rice has steadily cultivated. Last Apollo effortlessly commands the attention of any crowd and ensnares them with her haunting lyrics and uniquely dynamic vocal style. Placing great value on literary influences as well as musical ones, Last Apollo’s songs are as intricately crafted lyrically as they are musically – each word is deliberate, weighted and merely amplified by her emotionally-charged vocal delivery. Her influences include PJ Harvey, Patti Smith and Indigo De Souza.

LAURA RYDER: Laura Ryder is a piano-wielding songwriter and composer, who also performs with a varying line up of talented collaborators under the name Laura Ryder Ampersand. For fans of the likes of Fiona Apple, Regina Spektor, Darwin Deez and Joanna Newsom, Laura writes piano-based songs which range from classical-influenced lyrical pieces to energetic full band alt-pop arrangements. Vestigial, the band’s debut, was released in late 2017. Capable Of is their latest single.
