Bristol-based post-garage/punk trio HOLY POPES are releasing their new single “Apples” in March. A blistering critique of the police’s abuse of power for the last 100 years, culminating in the conviction of David Carrick, the murder of Sarah Everard and many more failings A soundtrack of haunting lullabies is interrupted by howling choruses, “It’s not one rotten apple…” A social anthem to express the pain and anger of the people. HOLY POPES live show is “driven by a relentless rhythm section that sports the clankiest, crankiest bass sound.
