Goldmine is the newest band to hit the Galway music scene. Describing themselves as “indie funk”, they take inspiration from acts as diverse as Chic, James Brown and Red Hot Chili Peppers to Interpol, Pixies and Radiohead. Fronted by singer songwriter Tobi Kaye, one of Galway’s hardest working performers, Goldmine play their first live show in The Loft, Seven on Sunday 30th July.

Tobi saw out 2022 with an appearance on The Voice UK, selected by the legendary Tom Jones to be part of his team of vocalists. Making up the rest of the band are David McDonagh (guitar), Bryan Rabbitte (bass) and Rob Scallon (drums); Goldmine is a new band of experienced heads and they’re currently putting the finishing touches on their debut EP.

Support on the night comes from Galway indie/rock acts Ursidae and The Bog Project.
