Biodiversity and climate in crisis: how sand dunes at Grattan Beach can help

Biodiversity can be a great solution to the climate crisis. Come along to Grattan Beach for some interactive learning about coastal species and their role in protecting our us from storm impacts. Dr Kevin Lynch of the Geography Department (University of Galway) will lead this field trip full of fresh air.

Come visit Ballyloughane to see first-hand Nature Based Solutions in action. Galway City’s Biodiversity Officer will take you on a tour around Ballyloughane Beach and grasslands to discuss how maintaining and enhancing biodiversity can play a key role in addressing environmental problems in our city, showing the importance of innovation and partnership for positive environmental change.
