There is an epic show lined up in Monroe’s Live on Sunday June 8th for the Galway Folk Festival featuring Seán Keane, and Stephen O’Dowd for what is going to be a special night of live music!

Seán Keane: Known for his distinctive sean-nós-style, Co Galway’s Seán Keane is a seasoned performer, having built a legacy of his own on the music landscape for decades. Delivering a fusion of traditional Irish folk, pop, blues, and country, he was a founder of the group Arcady and is an award winning artist highly respected amongst his peers. His distinctive voice has led to many accolades, and he is an accomplished multi-instrumentalist. His platinum selling solo albums are in constant demand and he tours regularly across Ireland and the US.

Stephen O’Dowd: Born and raised in County Sligo, Stephen O’Dowd is of the fourth generation of a renowned musical family with deep roots in Irish traditional music. Drawing inspiration from folk legends like Thom Moore, Planxty, and John Martyn, Stephen places mythical stories, landscapes, and characters into his music. His multi-instrumental performances combine Irish traditional heritage with modern folk. Having performed solo at venues across Ireland and the UK, from London to Kerry, Derry, and even islands off Ireland’s rugged west coast, Stephen is gaining recognition as an artist in the Irish folk music scene.
