There is an epic show lined up in Monroe’s Live on the second night of the Galway Folk Festival featuring Fionn Regan, and Frankie Archer for what is going to be a special night of tunes!

Fionn Regan: Mercury-nominated Fionn Regan is a celebrated poetic voice in contemporary folk. With critically acclaimed albums and over 125 million streams worldwide, his work has earned praise from MOJO, The Guardian, and Pitchfork. His song ‘Abacus’ was sampled by Bon Iver on the Grammy-nominated album ’22, A Million’ leading to a live collaboration with Justin Vernon. Regan has performed on Late Night with Conan O’Brien and appeared in Vanity Fair’s prestigious music portfolio, photographed by Annie Leibovitz. His music has featured in Grey’s Anatomy and major films, while his song ‘The Meetings of the Waters’ starred Cillian Murphy in its video. He has toured extensively and his latest album ‘O Avalanche’ explores the horizon between environment and emotion, with sublime, immersive and uplifting songs.

Frankie Archer: Frankie Archer is at the pinnacle of electro-folk, redefining the genre with manipulated samples, synths, drum tracks, and earthy Northumbrian fiddle. She is on a mission to challenge perspectives and shake up traditions. A winner of the 2023 Christian Raphael Prize, she has been featured on ‘Later, with Jools Holland.’ Following the success of her debut EP ‘Never So Red’ and standout performances at Glastonbury, Deer Shed and a run of headline shows, her new work, ‘Pressure and Persuasion’ looks at how women’s stories are told and perceived. Frankie is quickly establishing herself as one to watch in the alternative space.
