Eve Clague and Leon Stax bring their respective bands to bear on the stage of the Loft, Galway.
Eve is an accomplished singer songwriter from Clonakilty, Co. Cork. Her music blends powerful lead vocals with intricate guitar parts that send her listeners on a sonic journey they are not soon to forget. Her songwriting is personal and direct, hitting hard and yet soothing the soul. Since the pandemic she has been making a strong reappearance to the live stage, writing new material and getting involved in more and more projects. Her most recent single ‘Down, Down, Down’ is available on all major platforms now.

The Leon Stax Equation are a melodic and rootsy Soul and Funk band based in Galway. Headed by drummer, lead singer and band leader Leon Stax (AKA Ben Duffy) the group has a 2 piece brass section, full bodied harmonies and bopping rhythms that are sure to leave you wanting more. Their music is sometimes soft, sometimes heavy and often in the realm of much of the Funk and Soul revival, mirroring artists like Amy Winehouse, Lee Fields and the Expressions, Sharon Jones and the Dapkings, Durand Jones and the Indications and the El Michels Affair.
