Taking a cue from the Desert Island Discs programme first broadcast on BBC Radio 4 in 1942, AATE will invite guests/attendees, the “castaways”, and ask them to choose an audio recordings (usually, but not always, music), sometimes a book or other item that they would take if they were to be cast away on a desert island, whilst discussing their life and the reasons for their choices.

Details of invited guests will be announced via the @ArchAtTheEdge Instagram over the coming weeks. Guests are invited to imagine themselves cast away on a desert island, and choose eight audio recordings (originally vinyl records) to take with them; discussion of their choices permits a review of their life. At the end of the AATE will invite the public to choose the one piece they regard most highly to bring with them. All are welcome to attend!

Ticket holders are invited to join them afterwards as they continue into the night from 10pm with dancing till late!
