Architecture at the Edge: As an gCeo

‘As an Ceo’ takes its name from the folklore story of Hy-Brasil – the island that could not be seen for the veil of fog (Ceo) that concealed it. During your time in Venice you experienced “In Search of Hy-Brasil”; metaphorically speaking you saw Hy-Brasil, and through this experience you may have gained a new understanding or awareness that was previously obscured or hidden from view. The title is also a reference to the process of rediscovering aspects of one’s cultural heritage or collective memory that have been forgotten over time (Mental fog). This exhibition will be taking place alongside the Irish tour of ‘In Search of Hy-Brasil’ in the Solstice Art Centre, Co. Navan, opening on the 22nd of June 2024. The student curatorial team is mentored by Nathalie Weadick and Alice Clancy and supported by the ‘In Search of Hy-Brasil’ team.
