Galway City Council’s safeguarding and vulnerability training is designed to help attendees effectively identify and support vulnerable individuals. This training helps to foster empathy, responsibility, and the specialised skills to enhance safety and inclusivity within the night-time economy.

Recognising the unique challenges faced by businesses and individuals operating in the evening and night-time, Galway City Council is offering free training sessions focused on safety and best practices.

Galway City Council, in partnership with the Night-Time Economy Unit of the Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media, is taking proactive steps to enhance safety within the city’s evening and night-time economy. This initiative is a key component of Galway City Council’s Night-Time Economy Action Plan and reinforces the city’s ongoing commitment to a safe and vibrant night-time environment, as exemplified by its Purple Flag accreditation.
