On the 15th May 2024 the University of Galway will host a symposium under the umbrella of the Global Hospitality Research Alliance [GHRA]. You’re invited!

This symposium will focus on Chefs entitled: Mental Health and Gender Challenges in Commercial Kitchens.

This multi-contributor event will be open to anyone interested in hospitality and in being part of a conversation.

This is a free event and open to everyone with an interest in the hospitality sector.
It is designed as a constructive conversation around what needs to change.

Why should you attend? Pandemic-exacerbated chef shortages have provoked renewed debate about this profession can be made more attractive. You will hear evidence from the Global Hospitality Research Alliance [GHRA] regarding the current challenges faced by chefs in commercial kitchens. You will also hear evidence of good and bad practice from an expert panel. Finally, you will have an opportunity to add your perspective to the issues being discussed and to influence an action plan for change.
