Easter on the Estate at Glenlo Abbey

This Spring, the team at Glenlo Abbey Hotel & Estate have two very exciting Easter offerings for you to enjoy with your nearest and dearest.

The Pullman Restaurant, comprising two former carriages from the Orient Express, is opening its doors for the first time to an Afternoon Tea service. This will be available for a select time only operating from the 25th of March until the 5th of April each day from 1pm to 4.15pm. Glenlo's Pastry Chef has prepared exquisite handmade pastries, scones and dainty sandwiches for you to enjoy in this luxurious setting. Both of the carriages carry their own unique piece of history where in bygone days they would have travelled throughout Europe from Paris, to Istanbul and onto Saint Petersburg. Notable characters who would have been on these carriages include British Prime Minister Sir Winston Churchill, and the comedy actors – Charlie Chaplin and Laural and Hardy. The carriage 'Leona' was used in the original movie screening Murder on the Orient Express! The Pullman is also open each night for a fine dining dinner experience where guests can savour the flavours of the finest of locally sourced and cooked produce. For a truly unique Afternoon Tea experience for a limited time book your seat today by calling 091 519600 or email info@glenloabbey.ie. Afternoon Tea aboard the Pullman is priced at €65pp and includes a glass of Champagne.

The River Room at Glenlo Abbey aptly named as it has stunning views not only of the Estate but also of Lough Corrib is the ideal place to gather with family and friends this Easter Sunday. The Executive Chef and his team have prepared a sumptuous three course meal for you to enjoy from the Glenlo inspired terrine, roast lamb, cod and salmon dishes to a gourmet selection of desserts prepared by their pastry kitchen. Easter Sunday lunch is available on the 31st of March from 1pm to 4pm. This three course menu is priced at €49 per adult and €25 per child. To book call 091 519600 or email info@glenloabbey.ie.
