Festive Afternoon Tea Experience at The Hardiman

'Tis the Season for catching up with loved ones over a festive afternoon tea at The Hardiman. A symphony of gentle indulgence for over 170 years, afternoon tea continues to be a time-honoured tradition of guests at The Hardiman.

The Hardiman invites each of their visitors to cosy up by the fireplace in the Parlour Lounge and relax into the afternoon with a selection of festive treat created Head Pastry Chef, accompanied by teas and coffees selected by The Hardiman's in-house tea masters and baristas. We recently we given the opportunity to experience this luxury for ourselves and we can honestly say we are in love.

If it’s pampering you are after, you’ve come to the right place. Sit back and relax as your tea or coffee is poured and your prosecco is served. The three-tiered tray of Christmas delights is something to be adored. The most delicious hand-cut sandwiches, handmade fruit scones with all the trimmings and the tastiest pastry creations in all the land will have your mouth watering. Each treat is more enticing than the next, from the smoked turkey and cranberry aoili on a brioche roll and the cured smoked salmon and dill cream cheese to the traditional mince pies and the cherry chocolate cheesecake - we were spoilt for choice of delicious festive flavours.

The indulgent food and luxurious surroundings were complimented by resident pianist Alison’s ambient Christmas melodies. The beautiful lull of the piano exquisitely set the ambiance to one of complete comfort and festive cheer. The Hardiman's festive afternoon tea experience is ideal for everyone who wants to put life on hold to chat and share merriments with their friends and family. Alternatively, enjoying a quiet afternoon full of festive treats while doing your Christmas shopping is a fairly enticing option as well.

You can enjoy this experience in The Hardiman's Parlour Lounge daily between 1pm and 4pm from the 11th of November to the 6th of January. You can enjoy all this for only €32 per person or €39 per person with Prosecco.
