From the May bank holiday weekend, Athenry’s beloved bar and restaurant The Earl Inn will be extending their services to five days a week; Thursday to Monday. With a revamped menu, a broader selection of cocktails and that same stellar service, a takeaway from The Earl Inn should definitely be on the cards.
Established back in 1985, The Earl Inn has been a constant presence in the Athenry area for 36 years and counting. Having passed the bar down to their son Gary, the Earls family have seen this spot transform again and again over the years to become one of the most popular destinations for good food, great drinks and the best craic around.
Playing the cards they were dealt to their advantage, the business was driven by Covid-19 to think outside the box and find new ways to keep the members of their community fed and watered. Supplying weekend takeaway and cocktails to-go, they certainly lived up to their ethos of providing friendly serving while nurturing a sense of community within their locality, with burgers and beverages flying out the door.
Having made some extensions to the premises including new outdoor areas, The Earl Inn is ready for a long summer and with their new menu launching this weekend, we’re sure there’ll be plenty of happy customers. With light bites that include cajun chicken wraps, duck spring rolls and some tasty salads, sharing boxes filled with sliders, goujons, nachos and more, and an incredibly mouth-watering selection of wings, burgers and main dishes, The Earl Inn menu has something for everyone.
You can even pick your poison; pornstar martinis, sex in the bog (mmm), watermelon margaritas and all your frozen favourites! It’s five for €35, so you might just have to taste them all! The team at The Earl Inn is made up of dedicated local people with strong backgrounds in hospitality, which in itself epitomises their locally-minded ethos.
