Take your kit off for Cancer

Fancy taking a Dip in the Nip to raise some much-needed funds for Hand in Hand? The tenth annual Dip will take place on May 26th at a secret beach location in Galway.

For 10 incredible years, this annual event has seen hundreds of brave participants strip off and take a dip in the Atlantic Ocean raising thousands of euros for the Galway based charity.
Hand in Hand’s Dip in the Nip raises vital funds which allow the charity to provide families across Ireland with the support they need at the most difficult time imaginable.

The goal of Hand in Hand is to ensure every family in Ireland with a child undergoing cancer treatment receives vital tailored support throughout their journey. The Charity provides a hand to hold through childhood cancer, with specialized practical and emotional support services tailored around each individual family’s needs.

Participants will gather together on a beach, dropping their robes, and sprinting into the North Atlantic. The Dip in the Nip was the world’s first skinny dip for charity and is speculated to be the longest running in the world.

For participants this year, the local distillery Micil Poitin will be providing a nip for the dippers, there are prizes from Burren Smokehouse and Kinvara Skincare, and all participants will receive a Charity insulated lunch bag filled with treats after they emerge from the Atlantic Ocean.

The Charity is asking the public to dip for themselves, for loved ones, or for those you’ve lost. Whatever your reason, join thousands of others who have peeled off. Take part in the 10th Annual Hand in Hand Dip in the Nip and raise vital funds to help families across the country.
