The Whileaways + Special Guests at Town Hall Theatre with Special Guests Mary Coughlan, Leo Moran & Padraig Stevens, and Rita Ann Higgins.

The refurbished Town Hall was officially re-opened on the 1st of February 1996 by then Minister for Arts, Culture and the Gaeltacht Michael D Higgins, and Mayor of Galway City Cllr Micheál Ó hUiginn. The Town Hall has since become established as one of Ireland’s busiest and most successful regional theatres. In those thirty years, a host of acts have played on its stages and close to 3 million people have attended performances, screenings, and events at the venue and at the nearby Black Box.

To mark this significant cultural milestone, we invite you to join our good friends and multi folk award nominee’s The Whileaways (Noelie McDonnell, Noriana Kennedy and Nicola Joyce) for a very special evening of celebration. The band of “perfected simplicity”, combine in sublime harmonies, singing songs they have mined from their own lived lives and the lives of others. The Whileaways will be joined by their very special guests and Galway favourites Mary Coughlan, Leo Moran and Padraig Stevens, and Rita Ann Higgins for this very special evening of celebration.
