SYNAESTHESIA arrives at Nun’s Island Theatre on Friday, April 10th for a truly one-of-a-kind performance. Following an eleven-show run across theatres and festivals last year, the team returns with an expanded vision — featuring immersive projections by Galway legend Final Animal, alongside an entirely new soundscape, script, and story.

This Irish-language immersive theatre experience unfolds around a monumental 2 x 4 metre live painting, interactive projections, and musicians performing in real time. Over the course of an hour, audiences are drawn into a living, breathing canvas where ceremonial instruments intertwine with synthesisers, vast paintings come to life before your eyes, and projections blur the boundary between electronic and organic creation.

The show debuted at Smock Alley Theatre as part of the Scene + Heard Festival before continuing on to a festival circuit that included Uisneach Fire festival and multiple performances at Electric Picnic, bringing the production to eleven performances to date. This year, SYNAESTHESIA returns with an entirely new visual dimension designed to further ignite the senses. This show is for those craving a deep theatrical experience — an invitation to melt into your seat for an hour and surrender to something wild, intimate, and unlike anything else.
