The series features Yawlag Collective residents and guest DJs exploring the lush world of organic downtempo – a genre blending electronic beats with acoustic instrumentation, earthy textures, and global rhythms. Rooted in chill-out culture, organic downtempo creates a grounding and immersive atmosphere, perfect for early evening listening.

Hosting the nights is Little Collins CBD Dispensary, Galway’s pioneering CBD café and alcohol-free social space. Known for its welcoming atmosphere, plant-based treats, and community spirit, Little Collins provides the ideal backdrop for unwinding midweek. With its relaxed setting, it offers a unique alternative to the city’s usual nightlife – a place where people can connect over music without the pressure of late nights or alcohol.

This special three-part series will run fortnightly, starting on Thursday 9th October, with Blue Detroit and Mitch Presents playing from 6-9pm.

These events are part of Café Lates, a Galway City Council Night-Time Economy Pilot Initiative, supported by Galway City Council, the Department of Culture, Communications and Sport, Minister Patrick O’Donovan TD, and Galway City Night-Time Economy Advisor Kate Howard.
