Art in Mind are hosting a full programme of events on Culture Night, September 18th.

The evening will kick off with a ‘Marketing Masterclass for Artists’. The lecture is a free event hosted by Jane Hanberry, targeted at creative practitioners looking to enhance their physical and digital promotions. Jane is a professional producer & marketing consultant with a creative approach to arts marketing. Her main area of expertise are festivals with a focus on theatre, comedy, visual & digital arts. The event will also be broadcast online from the Art in Mind facebook page. The studio will also host an array of games, demonstrations & interviews.

Art in Mind has partnered with ‘it’s OK Cork’ to provide talks and workshops surrounding mental health and creative practice. It’s OK Cork is a Mental Health Awareness Project founded by EU Solidatity Corps Leargas. The project teaches young people how to take care of their mental health and how to raise awareness in their community about the same issue. Dzana, the director of it’s OK Cork will be interviewed by councillor Clodagh Higgins at the Art in Mind Studios from 7.30pm in a discussion surrounding mental health and borderline personality disorder.

In the Art in Mind music studio, it’s OK Cork will be kicking off their Poetry Circle event at 6pm. The Galway Ukers will be providing Ukulele tutorials and play alongs from 7pm. Esteemed musician and poet Gerry Hanberry will be playing a mix of originals and covers from 8pm. The music portion of Art in Mind will close with a rock band fronted by Ritchie Brennan from 9pm.

There will be online events broadcasted from Art in Mind’s social media pages on Culture Night including an interview with founder Glenn Gibson, interviews with the Studio Artists and a tour of the Gallery & Studios. Refreshments & wine will be available on the night from Adare Beverages.
