Galway International Arts Festival Seeks Volunteers

Galway International Arts Festival is currently recruiting dedicated volunteers for their 2017 programme of events. This year’s festival runs from July 17 – 30.

Each year the festival engages hundreds of volunteers to assist with venue invigilation, production, marketing, stewarding, crowd management, administration, information services, and more. This year GIAF celebrates its 40th year and the team invites you to help to deliver the biggest programme yet.

The GIAF volunteer team, Carly Zimmerman and Kady Perry, will work with you to match your preferences with your available time. The Festival presents and produces a diverse range of theatre, music, visual arts, discussion, comedy, and street spectacle events, and volunteers are needed for almost all of them. This year, the Festival is introducing a new application process in which you can create your own schedule. Make your selection and volunteer for what you want, when you can. The application process can be done online here

Please direct all questions to Volunteers Manager Carly Zimmerman and Volunteers Co-ordinator Kady Perry at

Galway International Arts Festival would like to acknowledge the support of its principal funding agencies the Arts Council and Fáilte Ireland and Festival Partners Ulster Bank, ABSOLUT and NUI Galway.
