The Kings of Connaught with Louise Morrissey

The Kings of Connaught have taken up the mantle of keeping alive our great heritage and culture of Irish Ballads and are doing so with great success. These young West of Ireland multi-instrumentalists grew up in East Galway, steeped in the tradition of Irish folk music and features Liam O’Grady (vocals, 5 string banjo & guitar), Mark Costello (vocals, long neck banjo and guitar), Macdara Connolly (mandolin, tenor banjo, bass guitar & vocals), Thomas Ryan (whistle, guitar), and Michael Tully (piano accordion). The band’s talent and youth appeal have caught the eye of the industry both at home and abroad. Enjoy an unmissable night’s entertainment filled with a foot tapping selection of Irish ballads, folk songs and craic in the great tradition of The Dubliners, The Clancy Brothers and The Fureys etc.

Joining The Kings of Connaught on the night will be very special guest Louise Morrissey, who has long been regarded by folk and country music enthusiasts as one of Ireland’s greatest vocal treasures. Louise, along with her brother Norman, will sing some of their many classic songs from their days as Irish Folk Group The Morrisseys.
