Brownes Cosy restaurant serving delicious locally sourced food

This cosy restaurant and bar is all about craft beers, cocktails and a delicious local, seasonal menu. The Grocery Bar is well stocked with a selection of local beers from the likes of the Independent Brewing Company in Carroroe and a broad gin selection featuring plenty of interesting Irish gins. With it’s open fire, wine, cocktail, spirits and craft beer selection it’s an excellent place to relax over a few drinks. To accompany drinks in the bar there is a quirky list of bar snacks to nibble on such as Durrus Cheese & Kohlrabi Bites, Gubbeen Chorizo Arancini and Smoked Salmon Puffs.

In the restaurant Chef Patron Stevie Lane is using his fine dining background to present modern, elegant food in a relaxed casual atmosphere. He is working closely with local suppliers and producers to offer the best local, seasonal produce. You could start with a Ham Hock Terrine served with Apple and Pickled Mustard Seeds and follow it up with a melt in the mouth slow Braised Beef Cheek with Carrot and Buckwheat, perhaps finished off with a 70% Chocolate Parfait with Candied Peanuts and Caramel.

Call in for a meal or a drink and you’re sure to receive a friendly welcome and enjoy your time.
