Doolin Cave and Visitor Centre Home to the longest free-hanging stalactite in the Northern Hemisphere
The Northern Hemisphere’s largest stalactite, charming walking trails, a lovely cafe of home-baked cakes and food, and handmade pottery — it’s all waiting for you at Doolin Cave!
Along the Wild Atlantic Way, nestled in the magical Burren region and just a tip away from the Cliffs of Moher is Doolin Cave. Inside the Cave, check out the astounding 7.3-metre stalactite, hanging from the ceiling like a chandelier — it was formed from just a drop of water, thousands of years ago.
From underground, take a looped walk through the Farmland Nature Trail. The Trail is home to indigenous species of flora, along with rare and miniature breeds of animals. The Burren is home to some unusual flowers and plants as well!
Then pop into the Doolin Cave Cafe for home-cooked meals, and tasty sweet treats to round out your experience. The gift shop is stocked with hand-made pottery, crafted from glacial clay found deep within Doolin Cave.
